What is a pulse, how does it tie us to ourselves, to human?
How does this, in turn, tie us to physicality, place, and time?
When the pulse is fractured -the rhythm, the eyes, the mind, the life is no longer bound to self, no longer of one. In vodou, this split is from sound, from sacrifice, from surrender.
This project investigates the place that remains when the recognizable pulse is lost. And what is then found. This project is an expression of the surrendered mind through fractured pulse. _
